The Viking centre is very proud of their Silver Green Tourism Award and now they are going for gold!
Here are some of the many ways they are going above and beyond to make their hostel as green as can be:
- Installing LED lighting with additional outside lights in the play area.
- Adding an Air Source Heat Pump to supplement the existing wood pellet boiler.
- Fitting 18 additional Solar panels with battery storage of the electricity produced.
- As a charity they also have a strong commitment to the local community
The Viking Centre provides great value accommodation at Claxby in the Lincolnshire Wolds. The 20 bed self catering centre has the tourist board “Walkers Welcome” award and its low overnight fee makes it economical to hire for small groups and large families.
