The Woodlands Centre is run by a small charity whose sole purpose is to provide low cost, accessible accommodation for young people. Set in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park in Betws-Y-Coed, an extensive variety of activities are available nearby. The cost to youth groups is kept as low as possible, with discounts up to 55%. Groups can have exclusive use of the whole centre, which includes 8 bedrooms sleeping 33 people.
There is also a fully equipped self-catering kitchen, drying room, communal lounge, and plenty of parking. All bed linen, heating and lighting are included. There is also have an onsite warden.
The centre is hired out to groups of friends and families, as well as groups of outdoors enthusiasts. Alongside other fundraising efforts, bookings from these groups raise funds to enable the charity to subsidise costs for the youth groups.
A team of around 30 volunteers help to run the centre and assist with maintenance, general upkeep, and paperwork.
