From Parsley Hay the Tissington Trail can be followed south through Tissington to Ashbourne, or taken north for 2 miles to Hurdlow. Here, just off the trail The Royal Oak is a welcoming pub with bunkrooms sleeping 8,6,4 and a camp site. The pub specialises in great food with open fires and friendly staff.

The White Peak Loop is a 60 miles loop of car-free cycle path.   The loop is not complete yet, but will link the Peak District’s disused railway lines to the railway towns of Matlock, Buxton and Ashbourne.
