The village of Hartington with its own cheese shop, cafes, pubs etc is only 4 miles away and Chatsworth House, Carsington Water and Alton Towers are all within easy reach. Great venue for both cyclists (Manifold Cycle Trail just down the road) and climbers (Roaches Rocks a short drive away).
The villages of Alstonefield, Wetton and Hulme end are all around a mile to a mile and a half away and all have pubs doing good food. The Royal Oak at Wetton welcomes dogs and children! The Manifold Hotel at Hulme End often does Campers Breakfasts and the George at Alstonefield is a gastro pub. There are lovely tea rooms in Wetton and at the Manifold Junction at Hulme End.
