The National Route 6 now finally has it’s last connection made between Grasmere & Keswick.
A new track from the top of Dunmail Raise to Thirlmere is now open in addition to the new track around Grasmere and Rydal Lakes. Circular routes are also available with a night stay over in Penrith at Wayfarers Independent Hostel . Bikes can be hired from Thorney How. Bike Hire is available 7 days a week. We have 3 mountain bikes available. 2 male frame and 1 female frame. Pricing is £15 per day per bike. Bikes are supplied with helmets, pumps, tool kit, lock, map and route advice. Overnight hire may be available with a £5 surcharge per bike. Restrictions apply. Please see website for details.
