The Berwyn Mountains are very much a source of adventure. They are especially popular with walkers, runners and wildlife enthusiasts. Could it be an Off Road Motorcycle Experience? (15mins from Wild Valley Huts – Llangynog)
A guest stayed with us whilst completing an off road biking course in Llangynog -15 mins from Wild Valley Huts. She highly recommended her course. She was completing the off-road bike training in preparation for an off road biking tour in Morroco that she’d booked later that summer.
Motorcycle training with Mick is set in1500 acres of prime Welsh forest in the heart of the Berwyn Mountains. All rider levels are catered for with a mix of gentle flowing trails and more challenging terrain, with steep hill climbs and tricky descents.Mick or one of his skilled guides will lead you on some of the best off-road riding to be found anywhere in the UK.
Could it be ‘The Bala Big Swim?’ (35 mins from Wild Valley Huts – Bala Lake)
Dive into an open water swimming challenge with The Big Bala Swim. Multiple distances are on offer at the stunning LLyn Tegid of Snowdonia National Park. We have a guest staying for the Bala Big Swim this year – it will be her 3rd time of staying with us after the swim – we look forward to welcoming her & her husband back this June. Every time they’ve been, that weekend, the weather & sunshine has been glorious!!
Llyn Tegid, Wales’ largest natural lake, is surrounded by the beautiful Aran, Arenig and Berwyn mountain ranges; making it an idyllic setting for a weekend swim.
Could it be a Paragliding Course or a Tandem Flight? (20mins from Wild Valley Huts – Llansillin)
We can certainly recommend Mick and Mark at YX Paragliding school! Graeme had always expressed an interest in paragliding and being right on the door step, I booked a tandem flight for his birthday.
YX Paragliding specialises in hill launch paragliding and tandem flights in some of the most beautiful parts of the countryside, with one site being 20mins drive from Wild Valley Huts near Llansilin. This site is located amongst some of the most breathtaking scenery that the Welsh mountains have to offer.
