Family Holidays at Wild Valley Bunkhouse

Making family memories; creating & remembering happy moments.

Wild Valley Bunkhouse is great accommodation for a family holiday. It provides a cosy & comfortable stay. The Bunkhouse is a spacious, open-plan living area ideal for a family stay. The kitchen is well equipped for either preparing a snack or cooking a meal and there’s a dining table & 4 chairs to enjoy a family meal together. The main room has a sofa, board games and TV for relaxing after a day being in the fresh air. There’s a private bathroom, with a quality rain shower and fresh towels, perfect for relaxing the muscles and helping your child get a good night’s sleep ready for the next family packed day.

Guests don’t need to worry about being chilly in the Wild Valley Bunkhouse; underfloor heating and a basket of blankets are there to keep you snug.

There’s an outdoor area just for the Bunkhouse with BBQ/Firepit, picnic table, box of free kindling & logs and amazing views across the valley, where sunrises and sunsets can be seen. The BBQ/fire pit area has seating, with mushroom carved seats or a picnic bench, an enjoyable way for a family to toast marshmallows or make smore’s. Children (and adults) love this! Our nephews have found their best smore’s recipe of marshmallows toasted and then squashed between two chocolate digestive biscuits. This chocolately, messy treat is a fun memory to make!

Our Top 3 Recommendations:
There are many family adventures & memories to be made a short drive from the Bunkhouse. Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall (Britain’s highest single drop waterfall – 80m drop), Bala Lake for exhilarating and thrilling watersports or the countryside experience provided at Park Hall Farm are just a few. We help guests to make the most of their stay and provide our own ‘Wild Valley Top 3 Recommendations’ for categories such as: the best family day, best place to visit on a rainy day, the best place to be active etc.’ So whatever the weather, there is up to date information for families to make a plan. This may be venturing out of the Bunkhouse or staying ‘home from home’ at the Bunkhouse and having a fun family day of board games & wandering locally.

What’s on this month:
The local area provides many exciting and well organised events. Each month we publish an up to date list in the Bunkhouse to make families aware of ‘What’s on Locally’ that may be of interest to them. This may be the summer panto in the park performance of Cinderella in July, to Oswestry’s Hot Air Balloon festival in August or the great Oswestry Agricultural show.

Our philosophy… the area of Wild Valley Bunkhouse is spectacular and the things on offer locally in the area are great that we want to share it all with others and give others the opportunity to enjoy what is on the door step.

One guest wrote, ‘This is a rural retreat to be enjoyed any time of year.’
We hope to welcome you in the future!
Best wishes, Heather & Graeme
