New wardens appointed, final lease arrangements taking place.

Earby Youth Hostel has a new lease of life after leaving the YHA. It will continue to provide accommodation to those who wish to explore and enjoy the countryside around Earby as it becomes a Friends of Nature House. Earby Hostel is currently closed for refurbishment with opening expected in late 2017. For more details contact Bob Abel [email protected] or leave message on (0)1282 842349.

Earby is a cosy cottage with a picturesque garden, stream and waterfall close to the Pennine Way. It is an ideal stop for the Pennine Way Walker, as a base for local day hikes and for cyclists and those interested in the countryside and local heritage. It is particularly suited to individuals, families and small groups. The hostel has central heating throughout and a warm feeling of homeliness. Like Kirk Yeltholm Hostel and the Old School Hostel (previously YHA Trefin), Earby Hostel is guaranteed a future as part of the Friends of Nature group and the Independent Hostel Network.
