Cows and Gaols in Northumbria

Greencarts field

With the 12th of April fast approaching we’d like to inspire you with some of the wonderful things you could get up to in and around Greencarts Bunkhouses and Camping.

Following the latest announcements from the Government, we are able to accept bookings from single households in self contained units from the 12th April. A working farm nestled in the Northumbrian countryside Greencarts is ideal for a relaxing break. The area is well known for it’s rich history, the town of Hexham with a lot of potential for days out. Hexham Old Gaol being one of them, being believed to be the oldest prison in the country it’s now a museum where you can learn more about the marches and their medieval history. Or there’s Hexham Abbey with its roman carvings.

But of course there’s plenty else to see if history isn’t your cup of tea. By the 12th of April Northumbria will be fully in spring. See the countryside in bloom on a long walk through the wonderful scenery. The choice is yours.
