Beach holidays on the Gower Peninsula

Hardingsdown bunkhouse gower

The Gower has wide variety of brilliant beaches and some great self catering accommodation.

I can’t think of another area of the UK with such a wide variety of brilliant beaches, as those that you find on the Gower Peninsula in south Wales coastline.  Just west from Swansea, this finger of moorland surrounded by coastline is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  From the wild windswept beach of Rhossilli Bay to the tiny tidal coves of Mewslade Bay, you can visit more then 8 different beaches, all within 30 minutes drive.   Port Eynon Bay has an ice-cream shop and cafe in the small beach side village.  Oxwhich Bay is well known for Watersports and the wild Three Cliffs Bay is a good walk from any road and has a crazy rip tide.  A great base for a Gower Seaside Holdiay is the accommodation at Hardingsdown Barn.  The original bunkhouse sleeps 14 in comfort with underfloor heating, self catering kitchen and 4 bedrooms.  The newly built Chaffhouse sleeps up to 12.  Hardingsdown Bunkhouse is featured on our map of South Wales and Pembrokeshire here.
