High Street Hostel in Edinburgh, looks like a lot of fun. First of all, check out its website, which is the funkiest, most welcoming website I’ve ever seen.
The first page has a simple map of Edinburgh centre showing just how central it is, surrounded by a guide to the local sights. Perfect! I’ll bet there’s loads of backpacking visitors who’d welcome its jolly, useful simplicity. Further exploration shows us the interior. Simple, clean, bright and welcoming. Again: Perfect! Just what you’d be looking for in a city hostel. Digging further, we find a photo gallery showing all sorts of smiley faces – some of them painted as Halloween creatures. See – it looks like a lot of fun.
So while, we’re in the mood – let’s see what Edinburgh has to offer us, now that the kerfuffle of the festival season has died away.
