Stone Peak District camping barn, surrounded by fields, stone walls with a couple of cows in the foreground

Alstonefield Camping Barn is in a prime position in the Peak District.  It commands breathtaking views in all directions.  The perfect retreat to get back to nature and get away from it all, with birdwatching by day and star gazing by night!  There are dale walks from the door and for those with boundless energy there are numerous hills to climb to be rewarded with panoramic views of the Derbyshire countryside in all its glory.

The barn stands between 3 lovely villages Alstonefield, Wetton and Hulme end and all have pubs serving delicious food within walking distance.  Close by is Thor’s cave, Dovedale Stepping Stones and the Manifold Cycle track is just down the road.  There is mountain biking straight out the front door and rock climbing nearby.  The Peak Wildlife Park is around 20 minutes away and Chatsworth House is also close by.

With it’s woodburning stove you will be cosy and warm.  And it’s ancient stone walls, tiled roof and glazed windows will keep the Peak District wind and rain out.  Bring your own mats, sleeping bags, cooking equipment, torches etc …..in fact everything you would normally bring to go camping.  Just not your tent.

Alstonefield Camping Barn makes spring camping in the Peak District so much more comfortable. Why not give it a try?
