At the Southern gateway of the Lake district, close to Morecambe Bay, the Field Studies Councils Castle Head activity centre is the perfect setting for safe, environmental education and activities. The centre sleeps up to 160 across 2 buildings, and is flexible, allowing you to run your own Lake District trip, or have expert tutors help your group learn about Environmental Conservation, Hill Walking, Nature, Orienteering, Meteorology and many more. Field Studies Council tutors can provide activities like raft building, ghyll scrambling and canoeing, among others. Bedding is provided and the centre can cater for all dietary requirements or provide self-catered accommodation. Waterproofs and wellies can be provided for outdoor activities, and the centre has Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge.
