1550ft Sessions – Acoustic gigs at Skiddaw House

Skiddaw House Music on the Mountain

The 1550ft sessions are a great opportunity to see some fantastic music half way up a mountain. All musicians and guests walk up for the gig and stay at the hostel. Not your average Friday night out!

We’re excited to announce three gig dates we’ve got lined up this autumn:

Anne-Marie Sanderson, Friday 7th September
A ‘soaring, gliding and swooping’ voice, deft guitar work and lyrics inspired by the natural environment and the work of authors including Robert Macfarlane and Sarah Hall; Anne-Marie’s music sounds perfect for unwinding to at Skiddaw House.

Paper Cranes, Friday 13th September
The well-loved Walney Island trio return for their 4th 1550ft session. Post-gig jamming may go on late into the night; you have been warned!

mylittlebrother, Friday 27th September
Also back by popular demand, mylittlebrother’s indie pop songs have a light-hearted style but brilliantly quirky lyrics!
