Coastal Walks & Long-Distance Paths
Ty Cwch: Right on the Welsh Coast Path
The Welsh Coast Path passes Ty Cwch’s front door. Walk north to New Quay through woodland and open countryside, catching views across Cardigan Bay. Head south to Llangrannog past hidden coves and dramatic cliffs. Iolo Williams calls this his favourite section of the whole path.
Cwmtydu sits between these two villages, giving you circular walk options or use the local Cardi Bach bus to extend your route. The coastline here is spectacular: seals hauling out on beaches, dolphins offshore, seabirds everywhere.
Our boathouse gives walking groups a perfect base. Three sleeping pods with four bunks each. Hot showers (four of them, including two outdoor). A proper kitchen for cooking real food after long days out. Drying facilities for wet kit. A deck and firepit for evening relaxation.
The accommodation opens up under canvas canopies when weather allows, connecting you to the valley and coast. When it doesn’t, you’re warm inside with everything you need. Games, books, WiFi if you want it.
Book individual cabins or take the whole boathouse for your group. Flexible pricing based on numbers makes it affordable: full house with 12 people works out at £25 per person per night.
Bring your walking boots. The coast path awaits.
