OverviewOpened in Summer 2019, The Chapel House is Swansea's only boutique hostel and a sanctuary for adventurers. Catering for travellers from around the world it is just 5 minutes from the centre of Swansea. Nestling between Oystermouth castle and the iconic lighthouse it is situated in the heart of The Mumbles. The Mumbles is a bustling fishing village at the western edge of Swansea Bay at the entrance to the Gower Peninsula. Cosy yet cosmopolitan the Mumbles is host to many shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. A truely contrasting corner of Wales, that takes you from City to Coast. The Chapel House is your ideal base camp for surfing, walking and biking and enjoying an idyllic few days in the wild west of Wales. With private rooms, dorms and a option of private hire for groups of up to 20 guests. Every room has a large en-suite, TV and tea-making facilities. Dogs are welcome in the private rooms. There is also a well equipped kitchen, a dining room and even a home cinema room. Bikes and surfboards are available to hire, there's a drying room and a secure bike shed. There is a self-serving breakfast, where you can serve yourself fresh eggs from the eco-garden and meet like-minded people. With surf lessons, boat trips and pub quizzes – there is plenty to do. Within walking distance of great surf, walking and climbing, including the Wales Coast.

Opened this August, this elegant new hostel is a real gem. A sanctuary for all you adventurers.
For walkers and explorers the All-Wales Coastal path is only a few steps away. We are able to pick you up at multiple points as you circumnavigate the Gower. To the east are the Brecon Beacons with southern Britain’s highest peak, high moorland and towering waterfalls.
For surfers, sailors & water lovers we are within walking distance of a number of beaches. We work with local activity providers to offer surf, sup and kitesurfing and discount rates. We are also near quality kayaking and scuba diving.
For cyclists & mountain bikers there is world class mountain biking at Afan Valley, Brefcha and the Wales Bike Park. Encompassing blue & red trails for all abilities. For road cyclists, the Gower beyond offers a stunning backdrop.
For climbers the limestone cliffs of the Gower and the Shards of Brecon offer a range of climbing experiences. We also have indoor climbing at dynamic RDock on our doorstep.
