The Ceilidh Place Bunkhouse, 14 West Argyle St. Ullapool, IV26 2TY
The Ceilidh Place is a small complex, consisting of a music venue/performance space, restaurant, hotel, bar, bookshop, coffee room, gallery and bunkhouse. There are regular ceilidhs and concerts (sometimes jazzy/classical) at the Ceilidh Place with visits from folk musicians and small touring theatre companies occuring regularly. The bunkhouse (group only) does not have self-catering facilities but the coffee shop is open from 8.30am to late evening, 7 days a week. It serves hot food, soups, salads, great coffee and cakes and is a super place to relax, read and write cards or memoirs. Rooms for individuals are also available in the hotel where there is a social living room area and balcony. The village of Ullapool is a small exciting port and fishing town, with ferries from the Outer Hebrides. The Ceilidh Place is in the centre of Ullapool. It is also next to the campsite.
