The Ceilidh Place is a small complex, consisting of a music venue/performance space, restaurant, hotel, bar, bookshop, coffee room, gallery and bunkhouse. There are regular ceilidhs and concerts (sometimes jazzy/classical) at the Ceilidh Place with visits from folk musicians and small touring theatre companies occuring regularly. The bunkhouse (group only) does not have self-catering facilities but the coffee shop is open from 8.30am to late evening, 7 days a week. It serves hot food, soups, salads, great coffee and cakes and is a super place to relax, read and write cards or memoirs. Rooms for individuals are also available in the hotel where there is a social living room area and balcony. The village of Ullapool is a small exciting port and fishing town, with ferries from the Outer Hebrides. The Ceilidh Place is in the centre of Ullapool. It is also next to the campsite. Nearest train station Garve (33 miles). Citylink coaches from Inverness stop at Ullapool pier a short walk from the bunkhouse. Phone (0990 505050) for details. Also leaving from the pier are ferries to Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis.
