Stokes Barn is located on top of Wenlock Edge, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in the heart of Shropshire countryside. Two bunkhouses are available; the Threshing Barn (sleeping 28) and the Granary (sleeping 16). These offer comfortable, centrally heated, dormitory accommodation for a wide range of groups and provide an ideal base for corporate groups, field study groups, universities, schools, stag and hen parties, walkers or just a relaxing reunion with friends or family. The Ironbridge World Heritage Site is only 6 miles away and is a great attraction. Walk to the historic town of Much Wenlock to visit shops, pubs and sports facilities. Situated only a few miles from Church Stretton and the Long Mynd, the barns are in a walking and cycling haven. Many activities available. Have a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

    GR 609 999. From the M6 take M54 Telford following Ironbridge Gorge signs. A4169 to Much Wenlock, joining A458 for Shrewsbury. The Barn is signed at Newton House Farm (TF13 6DB) on the Much Wenlock to Shrewsbury Rd.
  • Public Transport :

    Trains at Telford (10 miles) and Shrewsbury (10 miles). National Express coaches call at Shrewsbury from London, call 0839 142348 for information. Midland Red buses stop in Much Wenlock, enquires 01952 223766.
