Sparrowhawk Barn is a friendly self catering barn in the centre of Moretonhampstead, popular with cyclists, hikers, climbers, bikers, artists, photographers and film makers, located within the breathtaking Dartmoor National Park. Moretonhampstead, 14 miles west of Exeter.
Accommodation is in a beautifully converted stone stable for your own exclusive use. The open plan loft bedroom has 1 double and 4 single beds. The self catering kitchen is fully equipped including tea/coffee and opens onto a courtyard where you are welcome to have a BBQ and fire.
High open moorland is close by for great hiking, cycling and off-road mountain biking, while the rocky tors rising up on the hilltops offer climbers a challenge. Wild swims in the rivers amongst woodlands or out on the moor are a must for the adventurous traveller. Magnificent stone circles, dwellings and burial sites of ancient civilizations together with wild ponies, buzzards, flora and fauna are all here to be explored.
Moretonhampstead has shops, cafés, art gallery/studios and pubs serving good food/ beer. CTC/ Cicerone LeJoG/ Dartmoor Way cycle routes are on the doorstep. Secure bike storage.
