Set on a 12-hectare estate in Shrewsbury in the heart of Shropshire on the banks of the River Severn with views into Wales, Preston Montford Field Centre sleeps up to 132 guests across 47 bedrooms and is ideal for families, activity clubs, educational and faith groups, sports teams, training weekends, corporate away days, and organised retreats.
The centre is fantastically accessible from the motorway network (less than 2 hours from Manchester and Liverpool, 3 hours from Central London) and is close to the Long Mynd and Stiperstones in the South Shropshire Hills AONB. Shrewsbury is a historic market town with a full range of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. The centre provides the perfect base for exploring the area's spectacular natural surroundings with walking paths through fields and woodland directly from the centre.
Available year-round, the centre offers both catered and self-catered accommodation options. Guests can choose from bed and breakfast, full-board packages, or exclusive hire of the entire property on either a catered or self-catered basis. Ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible, and most dietary requirements can be catered for. Self-catering is only offered to groups that hire out the whole centre.

The bedrooms are a mixture of single, twin and dormitory-style rooms across three blocks. The Main House has 59 beds across 18 bedrooms, Wenlock has 26 beds across 12 ground-floor bedrooms, and Darwin has 47 beds across 17 en-suite bedrooms, including one accessible bedroom.
The communal facilities include a large dining room, commercial kitchen, 2 large common rooms, a small lounge, games room, drying room, 6 multi-media classrooms and a licensed bar stocked with local ales, spirits, wines, soft drinks and snacks. The 12-hectare estate has orienteering courses, a 5-a-side football area, sensory garden, ponds, wildflower meadow, an ancient orchard, and the remains of a walled garden and a bee hotel. Free guest Wi-Fi is also available throughout the centre. To help everyone enjoy this spectacular location, a range of outdoor clothing is available to hire.
