New Ing Lodge is a 18th-century grade 2 listed farmhouse, lovingly renovated and family-run. It offers comfortable and friendly B&B, dormitory & camping accommodation as well as exclusive use hire.

It is located in the Eden Valley, on the eastern edge of the Lake District National Park only minutes from the M6. It sits directly on Wainwright's Coast to Coast path, the Westmorland Way and the Miller's Way, which makes it ideal for walking and cycling. The Howgills and the Pennine Fells are also only a short distance away.

New Ing Lodge is run by outdoor enthusiasts who can give advice on what to do in the area. Outside there is a large, well-kept garden which includes a children's play area. Quality Cumbria accredited

Night 5: A choice of accommodation at Shap.

The route from Patterdale to Shap is 16 miles and usually takes about 6-8 hours. You will be rewarded at the end of your day with a night at New Ing Lodge.

New Ing Lodge, run by outdoor enthusiasts, offers comfortable and friendly B&B, dormitory & camping accommodation.  There’s an on-site bar,  which is perfect for unwinding and sharing stories with fellow travellers.  For your evening meal there are take-aways and eateries just down the road.  All bedding is provided, there’s a drying room/laundry and dogs are welcome by arrangement.
