Dog Friendly accommodation

Dog Friendly accommodation

New Ing Lodge are always happy to welcome dogs here, although it should be warned they might get cuddled.

New Ing has a large back garden where your dog can be exercised off the lead.  We have a doggy bed for these with four tired legs, which is often the case as many of our doggy guests have been walking the coast to coast.  We are so dog friendly that when the owners aren’t looking, a left-over piece of bacon sometimes finds a new home!

A great place to meet fellow travelers on the coast to coast routes.

New Ing Lodge is a great place to meet fellow travellers on the coast to coast routes.  The lodge provides comfortable accommodation with excellent food and beer.  It is right on Wainwrights Coast to Coast walk and over you pint you will meet people coming West from Kirkby Stephen and those coming East from Richmond, all with stories to tell.   The C2C Sea to Sea Cycle route also passes by six miles north and the occasional cyclist will be enticed by New Ing’s comforts, not to mention the mountain bikers following a version of the walkers route.
