This Victorian-Gothic mansion is located in Dorset's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with easy access to the Jurassic Coast at Lyme Regis, and the Wessex and Monarch's Way long distance footpaths. B&B is £55 per person and our whole house is available to hire for £1250. Guests can use the vegetarian self-catering kitchen to prepare their own meal or vegetarian meals can be pre-booked. It is also sometimes possible to camp in the grounds.

Monkton Wyld Court is a charity promoting ways of living sustainably. Volunteers live communally and heat and cook using wood. Fresh water comes from wells and is UV treated; the volunteers use compost loos. Fruit and vegetables are grown in the organic garden.

Off A35 between Bridport (East) and Axminster (West), about 4 miles north of Lyme Regis. Monkton Wyld is sign-posted from the A35; 1 mile up the lane you will see St Andrew's Church on left, driveway is just beyond it on right.

Train to Axminster. First Bus from station (direction Lyme Regis / Bridport) to Hunter's Lodge (10min) + 40 min walk along flat B-road and lanes.
