National Trust Bunkhouse set beneath the dramatic Five Sisters of Kintail and close to Skye.
Kintail Outdoor Centre, run by the National Trust for Scotland, sits in the north-west Highlands beneath Sgurr na Moraich, the last of the Five Sisters of Kintail, and Beinn Fhada (the Long Mountain). These dramatic peaks rise steeply from the shores of Loch Duich, offering some of the finest hillwalking in Britain. The centre is just five minutes from the A87, with Glenelg and the Isle of Skye close by.
The bunkhouse is ideal for groups of 8–20 and is split into two wings:
Wing 1: three rooms (2×4 beds, 1×2 bed)
Wing 2: two rooms (6 beds, 4 beds)
Each wing has its own showers.
Facilities include a cosy lounge with log burner, spacious dining area, and a fully equipped self-catering kitchen with hobs, ovens, microwave, and freezer. A drying room, laundry, and outdoor line are also available.
Some accommodation is wheelchair accessible, and dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. There is a minimum charge per wing, with a minimum of two-nights stay.
Set in an exceptional landscape, the centre provides the perfect base for hillwalking, outdoor activities, and field studies. Popular with mountaineering clubs, schools, universities, or groups of friends and family.
