A Georgian town house next to the Brewery Arts Centre just 300 yards from the centre of the historic market town of Kendal. This family run, friendly hostel is a home from home with a comfortable lounge, free WiFi, well equipped kitchen, dining room seating 26, central heating, hot showers, laundry facilities ,secure cycle shed, drying room and a good selection of books and maps to borrow for walking and cycling routes. Famous for Wainwright, Kendal Mintcake, Postman Pat. Hostel staff are always happy to pass on their local knowledge. Kendal has lots of offer visitors such as Kendal castle, Museum’s, Abbot Hall Art Gallery. We are only 1 stop from Oxenholme Rail station on West Coast Line. A short drive, bus or train ride will take you to Lake Windermere and Bowness for lake cruises and the famous Beatrix Potter exhibition. George is very used to dogs having been brought up with Maisie our black Labrador. In fact, George thinks he’s a dog and goes for a walk with us each morning around the Brewery Arts Centre car park.
