Kendal is famous for Wainwright, Kendal Mintcake and Postman Pat. Hostel staff are always happy to pass on their local knowledge. Kendal has lots of offer visitors such as Kendal castle, museums, Abbot Hall Art Gallery and is only 1 stop from Oxenholme Rail station on West Coast Line. A short drive, bus or train ride will take you to Lake Windermere and Bowness for lake cruises and the famous Beatrix Potter exhibition.
