Juniper Hall is a superb country house set in a peaceful wooded valley. It is situated in an unspoilt area of the chalk North Downs and at the edge of Box Hill, Surrey. Being in the Surrey Hills National Landscape, many amazing rivers, deciduous woodlands and grasslands can be found on the doorstep. The Centre has a rich history; during World War II, the house was occupied by the Canadian army in the build up to the Normandy landings. It is within easy reach of central London (less than 10 minutes from the M25) yet peaceful and secluded. Juniper Hall makes a great base for exploring a wide range of landscapes across the region.
Available year-round, the centre offers both catered and self-catered accommodation options. Guests can choose from bed and breakfast, full-board packages, or exclusive hire of the entire property on either a catered or self-catered basis. Ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible, and most dietary requirements can be catered for. Self-catering is only offered to groups that hire out the whole centre.

Our qualified tutors and trusted activity partners can provide engaging educational experiences for both adults and children (subject to availability), these are chargeable and must be booked in advance. This magnificent country house, leased from the National Trust, offers accommodation for groups of up to 148 across 38 bedrooms in a stunning countryside setting. Accommodation for guests include single, twin and dormitory-style bedrooms which are spread between Juniper Hall main house (95 beds in 19 bedrooms), Cedars (44 beds in 15 bedrooms) and Downlands (9 beds in 4 bedrooms). 13 rooms have en-suite facilities whilst a further 3 have dedicated bathrooms. There is also 1 twin accessible bedroom in the main house with a separate single ‘carer’ room next door. Other facilities include a lounge, drying room, games room, 2 common rooms, one with table football, a TV, fridge, microwave and hot and cold drink facilities, a large dining room, commercial kitchen and a range of multimedia classrooms of varying sizes.
There are places to relax outside within beautifully manicured grounds with seating areas and a large lawn area containing a table tennis table. There are a number of footpaths leading from the grounds which extend across the Box Hill Estate and into the Surrey Hills National Landscape. The grounds also include woodland spaces, well-being garden, campfire areas and a football area. The centre is situated between Dorking and Leatherhead both of which have swimming pools and park areas. There is more outdoor space in Norbury Park and Mickleham Downs, which you can walk to from the Centre. To help everyone enjoy this spectacular location, a range of outdoor clothing is available to hire.

From the north: From the junction 9 of the M25 take the A24 towards Dorking. After the Givons Grove roundabout turn left to continue on the A24 south towards Dorking for approximately 1 mile and then take the B2209 left into the village of Mickleham. Go through the village past the Church and the Running Horses pub and continue for about ½ mile. The entrance to Juniper Hall is on the left hand side immediately after Headley Lane. Please note that there is no entrance to the centre from Headley Lane. From the south: Join the A24 and head north towards Leatherhead. Go straight over Denbighs Vineyard roundabout and at the next roundabout (Burford Bridge) turn right towards Box Hill and Mickleham. Continue past the Burford Bridge Hotel and the turning for Box Hill and up a small hill. As you go over the top of the hill the centre is at the bottom of the hill on the right hand side.
