A Stunning Residential Base in the Lake District for Schools
September 14th 2019
With our own residential base, minibus transport and fantastic instructors, Humphrey Head is ready to create a magical adventure the way a residential experience should be. Operated by Mere Mountains, with 25 years of Outdoor Education experience, the programmes are run entirely in the surrounding natural environment.
Humphrey Head residential’s are driven by the exploration of the Lake District environment spending little time within the centre grounds. We have the headland, limestone pavement, ancient woodland, fossils and the largest lake in England to play on. We make these environments central to our programs – who wants to stay in the grounds? Humphrey Head Centre has up to 66 beds, a large dining room and commercial-grade drying room, making it an ideal base for our residential programs. Humphrey Head is also available for hire as group accommodation, whether fully or self-catered. The centre is a comfortable and an easy stay for visiting leaders with comfortable beds, a professional caterer and individual leader’s rooms. Remoteness from the town, exclusive use and inspiring location makes running fantastic residentials easy to manage.
