Halifax College is situated in a peaceful location in York, within walking distance of Heslington Village and the University of York campus. Halifax College is the perfect base for exploring the city. York is famous for the iconic York Minster, exquisite architecture and a tangle of quaint cobbled streets called The Shambles. York has boutique shopping, a vibrant café and restaurant culture and world class museums such as the National Railway Museum and the unique Jorvik Centre. These all make York a great city break or educational trip.
The accommodation is let on a self-catering basis and no meals are included in the rate. All rooms are single occupancy with a wash basin in each room and the use of shared bathroom and self-catering facilities within the house. There are a maximum of 11 bedrooms in each house. York rail station 3.4 miles. The No.66 bus runs to/from campus every 10-15 mins, journey time approximately 15 minutes depending on traffic. A taxi to campus from the station takes c.15mins and costs approximately £8.00
