We are located 11 miles north of Spean Bridge and 3 miles south of Invergarry on the A82 in a small settlement called South Laggan. Citylink buses stop 100m north of the hostel on the A82. If you are walking the Great Glen Way, stay on the Way until you see signs directing you to the hostel.Public Transport :

Great Glen Hostel has it all. If you love mountains, like bagging Munros, enjoy walking, cycling or paddling, relish being immersed in stunning Highland scenery or visiting historical sites ……………..Then a few days at the Great Glen Hostel in South Laggan will feel like paradise.
Munro Bagging: You will be spoilt for choice, Great Glen Hostel is surrounded by them. Choose from: Glen Garry, Glen Dessary, Glen Spean and the Great Glen.
Walking: The Great Glen Way (long distance footpath between Fort William and Inverness) is just 200m from the hostel.
Cycling: Sustrans route 78 runs through South Laggan, and the the hostel is only a 20 minutes’ drive from the mountain bike trails at Nevis Range. There are also easy sections of the Great Glen Way for day rides.
Paddling: The Great Glen Canoe Trail runs just behind the hostel.
Day trips to historical sites: Visit Glenfinnan, the Sands of Morar, Loch Ness, the Isle of Skye, and the castles of Urquhart and Eilean Donan.
