Overview
Situated in the beautiful Lledr Valley between Betws-y-Coed and the Crimea Pass in Snowdonia National Park, Elens Castle Hotel Bunkroom offers budget accommodation within a cosy hotel setting. The 4 bed en suite bunkroom can be booked by the bed or for sole use. Lacking a kitchen, bunkroom guests are invited to socialise in the hotel bar and eat in the restaurant. Once an 18th century coaching inn, Elens Castle Hotel lies in the centre of the small village of Dolwyddelan and is named after the daughter of Prince Llywelyn the Great who was born at the castle at the edge of the village. These historic origins are mixed with real concern for the future; the hotel has carbon-neutral heating & hot water and electric car charging points for Teslas and type 2 electric vehicles. The bunkroom provides an ideal, low cost base for exploring all that Snowdonia has to offer. Zip World, Slate Mountain and Surf Snowdonia are close by, there are a multitude of castles to visit and a choice of steam railways to try out. And of course Snowdon has great walking and climbing. For cycling and mountain biking and all the outdoor enthusiasts among you Antur Stiniog and Coed y Brenin are a short distance away too. BYO bedding & towels. This accommodation is featured on our map of Snowdonia and North Wales and here is its own website.
