OverviewEastern Slade Farm Barn is a luxury conversion of a 15th century farmhouse on a working dairy farm in the Gower peninsula. Under floor heating, powered by air source heat pump, provides year round warmth and the barn is ideal for groups of families or friends who like to holiday together. There are 3 wet rooms and 4 bedrooms sleeping 13 people. Two extra fold up beds are available in the lounge when the whole barn is booked. The beds are made up with fresh sheets and pillow cases and you are invited to bring your own sleeping bags or duvet covers (duvets available). The well equipped kitchen has a range style stove (electric oven and gas hobs) and granite work tops. The comfy lounge has leather sofas and a wood burning stove for cosy evenings. The Gower has glorious beaches and castles to explore and a network of traffic free lanes, ideal for mountain bikes. The Coastal Path passes through the farm. The Gower Peninsula juts out of the south Wales coastline, westwards from Swansea. It was the very first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is well know for the many beaches along its coastline. I have also discovered a handful of glorious castles , much less well known, but brilliantly adapted for visitors. This combination of good facilities and emptiness make these castles feel like a personal discovery, set as they are in atmospheric rural locations.Read More
