Dunfield has been open since 1965 offering groups the opportunity to run their own programmes in a beautiful corner of Herefordshire. Perfect for groups wanting sole use of the Main House and Stables together in high season or individually in the off-season. The Main House sleeps 73 guests in 14 bedrooms and a fully catered service is available in this accommodation. The Stables sleeps 23/28 guests in 8 bedrooms and offers a self-catering or part/fully catered service.

Dunfield house is a great choice for youth, school or church groups, family get-togethers or training courses. Guests are given access to a number of high-standard facilities including a heated indoor swimming pool, recreation / rehearsal / music hall, areas for football & volleyball with goals and nets, sites for campfires and much more.



Standing in 15 acres of gardens & parkland Dunfield House is the ideal rural location for your group to meet together as a community. The centre offers a fully catered service for 12-27 in the Stable accommodation and 25-74 in the House accommodation. Groups of up to 120 can be accommodated with camping. You can also book the Stables accommodation alone as self-catering

    Main House £1,764 + £32pp full board. Stables £754 self catering. Catering optional in Stables for groups of 12+. (All prices incl VAT).
  • Booking:

    Please book via website enquiry form or telephone. The stables accommodation is dog-friendly subject to prior agreement with the house managers.
  • Directions:

    From Leominster or Hereford: Follow A44 through Kington [over two roundabouts], signposted Rhayader. After approximately 2 miles turn right. From Wales: Take A44 at the Crossgates roundabout, signposted to Hereford & Leominster. After approx. 16 miles along the A44 you reach the border between England and Wales. Traveling approximately 1 mile on the A44 turn sharp left. Follow the lane up a small incline for approximately ½ mile. Turn right over the cattle grid [white picket fence] There is car parking at the top of the drive; the reception is immediately opposite you at the right side of the house. If using a SATNAV please ensure you arrive via the A44 bypassing Kington and not from the B4362.
  • Public Transport :

    Hereford is 20 miles away with a regular bus service to Kington. Alternate stations are Knighton 9 miles, Llandrindod & Leominster 16 miles away. Local bus's will make a requested stop with a 5 min walk to the house.

Dunfield House in rural Herefordshire is an incredible place for your group to stay and enjoy the 15 acres of woodland, lawned terraces and streams surrounding the house. With its own football and volleyball space, a children’s play area, campfire sites, music hall and indoor heated swimming pool there is something to keep everyone entertained.

The large space provides a peaceful area to unwind or learn in and meals can be provided or self catered which can take the stress away allowing you to relax in this amazing location. Fully catered service is available for 25-90 people.
