OverviewSituated just outside the pretty market town of Allendale, this impressive Edwardian country house have been lovingly restored to provide accommodation for groups of 14-42. The large garden provides ample space for ball games, team building activities, marquees and camping. While the 5 acres of steep woodland to the back of the property has footpaths leading down to the River East Allen. A wide range of outdoor activities and team building exercises can be provided on and off site by fully qualified staff making it perfect for schools, clubs, universities, reunions and family get-togethers. Stag and hen groups, weddings and big celebrations are all welcomed. There is parking for 30 cars and overflow parking can be arranged. Inside the accommodation has 11 bedrooms on the first floor. There is a lift and two of the rooms are accessible. Downstairs there are a number of communal rooms of different sizes, which make for a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. But there are also areas where everyone can eat, play, learn or celebrate together. Outside there are plenty of seating areas and a large fire pit. The town with its pubs, shops and cafes is just a 10 minute walk away. Transport for groups from train stations/airports can be arranged. Deneholme has great eco credentials, with geothermal central heating, solar panels, Herdwick sheep wool insulation and rainwater harvesting. It also holds all the relevant risk assessments, insurance and checks in place to facilitate residentials and activities for young people from the age of 8 upwards. This is manifested in its AALS/AALA license and Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge. You can self cater or book to be catered for by the resident chef.

Sitting on the edge of Allendale Deneholme provides comfortable group accommodation in a restored Edwardian era house. With ample space inside and on the grounds for activities
Deneholme is very popular with yoga, music, art, healthy living and dance retreats. In the warmer months the garden is a great size to set up marquees or set down yoga mats. The living room is similarly large allowing for group meditation or other structured activities. There is catering available or you can use the self catering facilities. Often garnering praise the fire pit creates a wonderful atmosphere in the evenings. All while being in the Beautiful North Pennines AONB. For more information you can visit their website.

Deneholme has been thoroughly risk assessed and has now achieved the “Covid-secure” status, so we are looking forward to welcoming you back. Social distancing indoors is very easily possible, due to the large rooms and if cooking is taken in turns we can adhere to all government guidelines in the kitchen too.
