Darsham Country Centre boasts a unique and exciting setting in Darsham's former railway station and station master's house. The line is still in use and has hourly trains going between Ipswich and Lowestoft. An independent charity affiliated with the Woodcraft Folk, the Country Centre provides affordable self catering accommodation for groups of up to 30 people in 7 bedrooms in a mix of bunk and single beds. Recently refurbished, the facilities include a large, fully equipped kitchen, a separate dining room and a large lounge with pool table & piano. Outside there's a BBQ area with picnic tables and a large grassed area for games and a camp fire. The Centre is perfectly situated for exploring the beauty of the Suffolk countryside and visiting the area's many tourist attractions. The Suffolk Heritage Coast with sandy beaches, nature reserves and bird sanctuaries is just 6 miles away and the pretty seaside town of Southwold is also a few minutes drive away. For walkers the East Suffolk Line Walks are accessible from the Centre. Perfect for groups of friends and families, schools and clubs, the Centre offers discounts to voluntary groups and statutory organisations. Parking for 8 cars. Overflow camping for up to 15 by arrangement. Well behaved dogs welcome at no extra cost. (Registered Charity number 1047729).

Directions:
From the South and London take the A12 north towards Colchester, Ipswich and Lowestoft. Coming from the North follow the A14 to Ipswich and then A12. Darsham is about 25 miles north of Ipswich and the centre is situated on the A12 at the railway crossing at Darsham Station one mile north of the village of Yoxford.
Public Transport :
Greater Anglia trains run regularly every hour from Ipswich and Lowestoft and onward to and from London Liverpool Street. Local bus service see www.suffolkonboard.com.

The accessible features at Darsham Country Centre are as follow: Removable ramps allow wheelchair access to the entrance and to the 2 downstairs bedrooms. A basic disabled toilet and shower is also on the ground floor adjacent to the bedrooms. The Darsham Country Centre has some availability in August. Its great value for groups, with 7 bedrooms and prices from £170. Minsmere bird reserve Southwold, Walberswick, Dunwich & Aldeburgh wetland and wildlife reserves are all a short drive away. The centre is an Old Station Masters House along side the East Suffolk Railway Line, trains arrive from lowestoft, Ipswich and you can start your journey at London Liverpool Street.

The centre sleeps groups of up to 30 people in 7 bedrooms. The price for the whole house starts from as little as £170 per night for voluntary and charitable groups. A Family and friends group is from £385 per night for Friday & Saturday nights and just £275 for other nights.

The centre is situated in the Old Station Masters House along side the East Suffolk Railway Line. Trains stop here from Lowestoft to Ipswich and on to London Liverpool Street. It is easily accessible by road via the A12. The 7 bedrooms contain a mixture of single beds and full size bunks. There is a large lounge with seating, a pool table, board games and radio /disc player. We do not have a TV, a separate dining room and large self catering kitchen. Outside there is a lovely sunny patio with seating and bbq and grassed area with fire pit. The car park will take up to 9 cars. For more details check out our website.
