Each pod offers a bathroom (with a shower), a fully-equipped kitchenette and unrivalled views of Ben Ledi. One is our custom designed, fully-accessible pod. We’re based by the River Teith, at the start of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and less than an hour’s drive away from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Perth. Set in stunning scenery, surrounded by the imposing and beautiful Ben Ledi and the Callander Crags, the hostel makes the perfect location for anyone wanting to discover all aspects of the National Park. Only 15 miles away to the east is the historic City of Stirling, with its Castle and the popular Wallace Monument. Within the National Park, there is an abundance of beautiful areas to explore, as well as plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. Callander itself is a bustling town with all the amenities you could want but also with the benefit of being able to turn off the main street and within a few minutes being in the peace and tranquillity of open countryside. On the high street, no more than a short walk from the hostel, you can find two small supermarkets, as well as a selection of cafes, restaurants and pubs.

    CYP Holidays is less than an hour’s drive from Glasgow and Edinburgh Airport. Travelling north on the M9, take exit 10 and follow the A84 past Blair Drummond Safari Park towards Doune. Continue on the A84, following the signs for Callander. Proceed along the Main Street until you reach the traffic lights – turn left here (following the sign ‘A81 – Glasgow'). Just after turning at the junction you will cross a bridge; CYP Holidays' distinctive building is easy to spot on your right (opposite the primary school).

  • Public Transport :

    Callander can be reached by bus from Stirling via First Bus Service 59/C59. These buses run approximately every hour throughout most of the day; the journey lasts roughly 45 minutes. The First Bus timetable can be found via their website, alternatively TravelineScotland offer excellent information for all public transport journeys within Scotland. The bus stops at the War Memorial on Ancaster Square. From here (facing the church across the road), follow the road left until you reach the traffic lights. Turn left here and cross the bridge – CYP Holidays distinctive building should be easy to spot on your right (opposite the primary school). .

Guests seeking a more exclusive experience can choose one of our newly-built, luxury pods. These units are situated in the hostel Garden, providing all of our guests with an unrivalled view of nearby Ben Ledi. This glamping option offers the perfect solution for guests seeking a little extra privacy, with each lodge boasting its own kitchenette and full en-suite facilities. Being located on the same site as CYP Holidays hostel building, the pods still offer the perfect combination of easy access to both the high street and the local countryside.

No two pods are the same, with each having been built with its own unique customisations. That being said, whichever pod you choose, you can be sure that you’ll have the following:

A well-equipped kitchen area, with a fridge, a two-ring hob, a microwave, an instant boiling water tap and crockery.
A double bed (with all bed linen and towels provided).
A functional bathroom (including an electric shower)
