Wonderfully remote, nestling in the spectacular beauty of the Elan Valley, Cwm Clyd Bunkhouse offers comfortable, recently renovated, spacious accommodation for families and groups of up to 21. Without a phone signal and powered off-grid, it’s your chance to escape the rat race; to rest, unwind and recharge.

Run by the Elan Valley Trust, Cwm Clyd Bunkhouse is ideally situated for all kinds of outdoor activities including walking, cycling, fishing and star gazing in the Elan Valley International Dark Sky Park. Sleeping 21 people across 6 rooms in a mix of bunks and single beds it's divided into 3 buildings: The Longhouse (sleeping 14), The Carthouse (sleeping 6) and the Main Building which houses all the communal areas, plus an en suite accessible room. The Longhouse and the Carthouse can be booked separately or together and the accessible room can be added to either booking.

The facilities in the spacious Main Building include a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table with seating for 21 and a wood burning stove. The shower block also forms part of this building with 2 shower cubicles, 3 toilets and 2 basins.

For those who want to keep in touch with the outside world, WiFi is available.

Outdoors, as well as fantastic views, you find a peaceful garden with a cob oven, a fire dish, seating areas and parking for several cars.

Dog are welcome with sole use bookings only. Bring your own bedding and towels.
