Outdoor Residential Centre and Hostel in Swanage
The purpose-built centre sits in 7 acres of private grounds and has 4 separate accommodation units which can be hired individually or together:-
Studland Building – Sleeps up to 47 across 12 en suite bedrooms.
Durlston Building – Sleeps up to 32 across 5 bedrooms (18, 18, 2, 2, 4). The 2 large bunk rooms have a toilet and shower room each, the 3 smaller rooms are en suite.
Peveril Building – Sleeps up to 32 across 10 en suite bedrooms.
Bungalow – Sleeps up to 16 across 4 bedrooms (6, 6, 2, 2), 3 toilet/ shower rooms.
Popular with groups of friends/families, schools, youth groups, DofE & corporate groups. A whole range of outdoor activities are available for your group if required. (Sorry - no adult party groups, this includes Hen or Stag groups).
The three larger units have their own leaders' lounge and kitchenette plus large recreation rooms, dining room, and classrooms. Overnight accommodation or full board option only, no self-catering facilities available with these units.
The bungalow is totally self-contained and lends itself to groups of friends and families. It is available for stays as short as 1 night, so can be used by groups walking the South West Coast Path. It is surrounded by a large private lawn with football area and play area, it has a patio area with seating and plenty of private parking. Dogs are welcome with prior arrangement. Head through Swanage Town (one way system) on Station Road. Follow the road through and onto High Street road. This road takes you back out of Swanage and up a gradual hill passing the Town Hall. Follow this road until you meet the Black Swan Pub. Just before the pub, there is Townsend Road on your left. Follow this up, the road then bends to the left, you need to go straight across (keeping on Townsend Road). Almost immediately on your right is Cobblers Lane (sign posted Cumulus Outdoor Residential Centre), head to the top of the lane. You are then met with big green gates (will be open) to the centre, pull inside and park on the right.Public Transport :
South West Trains - Nearest Station: Wareham Train Station. Public Bus (number 40) from Wareham Train Station to Swanage Bus Station. Taxi from Swanage Bus Station to Cumulus Outdoor Residential Centre (5 minutes).Walks :
