News & Offers from Borth Youth Hostel
Opened in 1952 and still going strong!
April 20th 2022
Borth Youth Hostel in Cardigan Bay opened up as a YHA on Good Friday 1952. It was sold in July 2014 and continued to be run as a hostel under the YHA Enterprise scheme. Still to this day this lovely Edwardian house, right on the edge of the beach is affiliated to the YHA.
Some more snippets of interesting information: The building was originally two semi detached Edwardian Houses. Orignially the hostel occupied just one of the houses. The neighbouring property was bought in 1970 and the hostel then expanded in to it. A single storey Field Studies annex was built on to the back right around this time too.
