Recently refurbished to a very high standard Bassenthwaite Parish Room, provides a fantastic accommodation location for walkers, cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts at the base of Skiddaw. The property is located in a small village with a good local pub a short walk away. Self-catering for a large group is easy in the modern and well-equipped kitchen. The building is fully wheelchair accessible and is well provisioned with modern bathroom facilities including two showers, seperate male/female bathrooms an upstairs meeting room with sofa and freeview Tv and a main hall with audio-visual equipment and projector, making it perfect for team-building or educational trips. Free WiFi is available throughout the building. A great location for accessing the Northern Lake District with Skiddaw virtually on the doorstep and Keswick a short drive away. You need to bring your own beds and bedding but everything else is provided in this warm modern facilities. Sorry no Stag/Hen parties are accepted.

    From the A66 Keswick Bypass take the exit at Crosthwaite Roundabout following the A591 (signposted Carlisle) for 5.7 miles, when you see the large Church on the right immediately after is a crossroad with a signpost for Bassenthwaite, turn right here and follow School Road to the Parish Room.
  • Public Transport:

    Train at Penrith on the West Coast Mainline. Stagecoach buses from Penrith to Bassenthwaite. Local taxi firms also available.
