Formerly YHA Hathersage, this refreshed hostel now operates independently as a YHA Partner, welcoming walkers, cyclists, climbers and families to the Peak District.
Individual bookings and room bookings are welcome. The Annex can be hired for exclusive use, or you can hire the Main Building and Annex together for larger groups.
From the front door you can reach miles of footpaths, quiet lanes and gritstone edges. Stanage Edge – a world-class climbing venue with unforgettable views – is just up the road and perfect for both seasoned climbers and curious beginners.
Hathersage village brings everything you need for a great stay: friendly cafés, traditional pubs, outdoor gear shops and the iconic heated open-air pool set against the backdrop of the moors.

The hostel is accessible via the A6187 road. There is limited on-street parking near the hostel, and a public car park is approximately a 10-minute walk away on Oddfellows Road (opposite the Little John Hotel).Public Transport :
The nearest station is Hathersage Railway Station, approximately 700 meters from the hostel—about a 10-minute walk. Trains run regularly on the Hope Valley Line between Sheffield and Manchester, with services typically every hour. From Sheffield, the journey takes around 20 minutes.Walks :
