OverviewBala bunkhouse is a converted 200-year-old Welsh stone building, set back from the road in over an acre of picturesque grounds with private parking. Modernised to provide accommodation for outdoor activity groups, it is light, airy and comfortable with storage heating. There is a large lounge/dining area and bunk rooms for 2, 4 and 8 plus annexe for 6. Separate ladies' and gentlemen's toilets have washing areas and hot showers. Fully equipped self-catering kitchen. Also there is a self-contained bunkroom sleeping 6, with small kitchenette, shower and toilet/washing area which is ideal for smaller groups and families. Sheets, pillows & pillowcases are provided - bring a sleeping bag. There is a splendid view of the Berwyn Hills; together with the Aran and Arenig hills they provide superb walking. Bala Lake and the National White Water Centre are brilliant for water sports. Good pubs, restaurants and shops in Bala.

Directions:GR 950 372. From England take M6, M54, A5 through Llangollen then A494 for Bala. We are on the A494, 1.5 miles before Bala.
Public Transport:Trains at Wrexham (30 miles). National Express at Corwen (10 miles). Local buses call at Bala (1.6 miles from hostel). Call hostel for a taxi.

Modernised to cater for outdoor activity groups this is the perfect venue for a stag or hen night.
In Snowdonia anything is possible. Stag and hen parties have a wide choice of places to go and things to see. Whether adventure or just plain walking through the wonderful landscape Bala Bunk House offers a great base for all. For adventure whitewater rafting is popular, thrills and spills are a given. For the cathartic joy of shooting friends with non lethal paint Get wet the adventure company can provide. As well as Go karts if racing is more your thing. Of course being North Wales there are plenty of walks to go on if a more quiet outing was in mind. Please note We welcome Stag and Hen parties ( sole use paying for min of 20 is required) but request a damage bond of £250 in advance, this is refundable at the end of your stay provided no damage has been caused to the property, the contents or the grounds.

Only a few minutes drive from the lake, LlynTegid and The National White Water centre, Bala Bunkhouse provides ideal accommodation for those who enjoy water sports. The bunkhouse has storage for outdoor equipment and is set in acre of grounds bounded by a river and a stream. The old Welsh stone building is light airy and with storage heating, fully equipped kitchen and bunks for up to 26 people. The National White Water Centre is the home of white water rafting and kayaking in the UK. The centre is based on the River Tryweryn – a real Welsh mountain river in Snowdonia National Park. Although its a truly wild mountain river the Tryweryn’s water levels are dam-controlled so it’s rapids still thunder throughout the summer. Enjoy thrilling white water, reliable river conditions and a beautiful natural environment all year round.
