We are looking for an energetic and happy worker with lots of enthusiasm to join us in Aug – September. Come and help our team with the day to day running of our independent city centre hostel. You will need to be an excellent cleaner with a high interest in hospitality / tourism & good understanding of English. Position will be well paid and live in.

Join our friendly team and become part of the Igloo Family. We are looking for someone to come and work with us during our busiest period. With our communal kitchen, lounge and garden there will be lots of opportunities to meet other travellers/students and families and exchange cultures. Learn new skills and discover what it is like to work behind the scenes at a busy backpackers hostel and practise your English with our staff. We will work hard to make you feel at home and embrace the Nottingham culture (eating plenty of mushy peas).

We have a staff room on the premises where you will stay with other live-in workers. The communal kitchen & bathrooms will always be available for you to use.

Work will be helping with the day-to-day running of the hostel including cleaning, laundry, running errands, and assisting with check-ins. You will need to be an excellent cleaner and be able to work quickly and efficiently on busy days. Also as this is a live-in position there will be times where you will have to be “on call” during the night.

Igloo Hybrid Hostel & Shed is a friendly, welcoming, clean and comfortable backpackers hostel in Nottingham CIty Centre. The Igloo has been providing rooms for travellers, families and students for over 20 years! Set in the heart of Nottingham city centre there is so much to do including visiting the legendary and newly renovated Nottingham Castle, the underground network of the City of Caves, the home of Batman and the local deer at Wollaton Hall and the famous Sherwood Forest! Packed full of independent shops and bars and board game cafes – you are spoilt for choice and it is all just a stone’s throw from us. You could also visit the home of Lord Byron at Newstead Abbey or take a bus ride further a field towards the Peak District for some hikes!

Payment will be £9.50 an hour 24-40 hours a week. We are looking for someone asap until the end of September. Possibly longer but can’t offer that at the moment. Will need right to work in UK (uk passport, settlement or work visa)

Hope that is okay. I’ve requested to join the fb group so will upload onto there once I am accepted.
