We are looking to change our personal circumstances, to have more freedom to travel and generally take some steps towards retirement. It is with some sadness that we have taken the decision to offer Thorney How for sale. This is a beautiful location and we love the property and it’s surroundings. Business is going well and after 8 years of continued investment the property is in a very good state and well attuned to the needs to today’s travellers whether larger family groups, couples or Coast to Coast walkers alike.

You will find excellent reviews on a range of portals and the property has achieved the Green Tourism Gold Award.
There is a superb biomass heating system which generates a handsome yearly return as well as excellent hot water and heating.

We do hope that whoever takes over Thorney How will have similar aims around sustainability and a sensitivity towards it’s Grade 11 listed status in a World Heritage Site. The property offers a lot of flexibility to suit a variety of business models and there is existing planning permission in place to make some additional changes
