In Hull the thing that struck me was the Art, you just stumble on it walking down the streets. I had no idea that Hull was such a quirky place, with great outdoor spaces and amazing buildings. We really loved the atmosphere in the old town.

Shropshire family adventure
When I posted an article on Facebook about ‘Secret Egypt’ at the Shrewsbury Museum I thought – what a good idea for half term! Peter, my youngest, was doing Egypt at School and would love it – and the rest of us had never visited Shropshire beyond driving through! So I booked a couple of nights with Frankie at All Stretton Bunkhouse and we were set!
Birchover Stones and Moors
We explored the Birchover Stones on Stanton Moor, with exquisite views and fascinating rock formations including the famous Nine Ladies Stone Circle. We were fortunate to be there when the purple heather was in full bloom and the marvellous family photos we took amongst the heather will be treasured for years to come.

Fun in the Lincolnshire Wolds
There is a riding school on site and we arrange a horse ride through the local, very beautiful, countryside of the Lincolnshire Wolds. We also spend a day on the beach which is just a 20 mins drive away.
