The struggle to find the perfect route on a biking holiday is all too real. Thankfully if you’re planning to explore the Tweed Valley this season, it just got a whole lot easier.
Drawing on their extensive knowledge of the area, the team at Cleikum Mill Lodge have launched their own website in partnership with Swift Trails for two wheeled guests – compiling the best local biking routes. These will extend beyond the trail centres, using local wisdom to help you really make the most of the Tweed Valley. If you still have questions when you get there, fear not! The staff are on hand to share their wealth of expertise, so you don’t have to worry about a thing on your travels.
Routes are graded and have licensed Ordnance Survey Maps – along with written directions, escape routes and short cuts if needed. There’s also a GPX tracker to load on to your phone or other devices. Mountain biking and gravel routes are currently available to browse, all based along the Tweed Valley Railway Path so there’s no need for a car! Much more will follow, including local road rides.
