Helmsdale Hostel, famous as the last nights stop on Lejog, is undergoing sustainable refurbishments. Things are progressing well but taking a bit longer than anticipated.  Development will include sustainable and renewable energy heating and water systems,  since the ethos of Helmsdale Hostel is to protect and respect our natural environment.  Thank you everyone who is getting in touch with booking enquirys. The hostel is very much looking forward to reopening pending the necessary works.  Helmsdale Hostel is the perfect last nights rest before reaching the end of the journey on the Lands End to John O’Groats cycle ride.
