Listed by the YHA as Brompton Camping Barn this bunk barn is far from a basic stone tent. There is a fully equipped kitchen, heating, and bunks with duvets and pillows. All you need to bring is your sleeping bag and food. If you really want to travel light you don’t even need these as sheet sleeping bags are available for hire and there is a village shop across the road and a pub 200 yds away. Brompton Bunkbarn is about to start life without the support of the YHA as it is one of a numbers of rural hostels losing the support of the Youth Hostel Association at the end of this month.
