Yealand Old School

In the heart of the village, the landscape and local history.

Yealand Conyers is a lovely name for this village, right up in the far north of Lancashire, relishing its proximity to the Lake District, The Yorkshire Dales and The Forest of Bowland. The bunkhouse at The Old School is in the heart of the village in the Arnside and Silverdale AONB.

Yealand Conyers is not just in the heart of a lovely landscape but also of history too. In 1652 the Quakers were formed locally – hence the area is called ‘1652 country’. It is owned and run by the local Society of Friends (or Quakers) and as you’d expect from them, it is a simple, wholesome, ethical and welcoming hostel.

If you are looking for accommodation for your group to experience the history or the unparalleled local landscape, Yealand Old School could well be it.
