Part of the Quaker heritage of Yealand Conyers, Yealand Old School is at the heart of the village, the landscape and local history. The village is right up in the far north of Lancashire, relishing its proximity to the Lake District, The Yorkshire Dales and The Forest of Bowland. The bunkhouse at The Old School is in the heart of the village in the Arnside and Silverdale AONB. It is ideal for refugees off the M6, Lejog (Lands End to John O Groats) cyclists, youth groups and extended family group holidays.
Yealand Conyers is not just in the heart of a lovely landscape but also of history too. In 1652 the Quakers were formed locally – hence the area is called ‘1652 country’. It is owned and run by the local Society of Friends (or Quakers). It is a simple, wholesome, ethical and welcoming group hostel. If you are looking for accommodation for your group to experience the history or the unparalleled local landscape, Yealand Old School could well be it.
