Alston Youth Hostel is very happy to be welcoming back hikers, bikers, friends and families from Monday 17th May!
Alston enjoys being high up in the middle of the Cumbrian North Pennine Fells providing peace, nature and the chance to feel ‘away from it all’ . But it is a small town which can provide all you need from quaint pubs serving real ales and hearty food, a whole food shop, unique independent shops, chip shop and lovely cafes! We even have 2 supermarkets and petrol stations!
We’ve put a lot of hard work into ensuring everyone has a safe and comfortable stay in the hostel be it for just one or several nights. Enjoy free tea and coffee and snuggle down in our new quilts. Throughout May and June each group/room will be allocated their own sole use shower and a socially distanced table in the dining room during their stay. So as the song says ‘We don’t care how you get here! Get here if you can!’
