Barrington Bunkhouse is situated in beautiful Weardale which is England’s best kept secret. It’s walking and cycling country but interesting places like Beamish Museum and Hadrian’s wall are not too far away, plus there are some interesting places and villages to visit close by.
Your bikes will be safe here, we have a lock up bike shed.
We are a communal bunkhouse, one large room with 6 bunkbeds around the outside and a communal seating area in the middle. In the kitchen is the usual kettle, toaster and microwave, plus an electric two hotplate hob plus saucepans etc., but no ordinary oven. We have a disabled wet room, plus a small toilet and separate shower.
It’s a very homely bunkhouse, everyone is welcome, no matter who you are or what your interests are but … we especially like musicians, there IS a bunkhouse guitar but feel free to bring your own, personally I don’t think there’s anything better than ending the day with a good old sing-song !! There is a CD player AND believe it or not a record player ! but you’ll probably have your own more modern sound system !!!
We still have availability in June, July, August and September …. the local country shows are the first and 2nd week in September, they are both worth going to.
